What is it?

The Lincoln Dance Collective was established to bridge the gap between the practical and theoretical studies on the BA (Hons) Dance degree. It  gives you, as a student, an experience of what it would be like to be in a professional dance company.

Choreography and Rehearsals

As a member of The Lincoln Dance Collective, you will have the opportunity to rehearse and create pieces of repertoire with external choreographers. Students audition to be part of the Collective and, following a weekly rehearsal period, the Collective tours in the Winter and Spring of each year.

The repertoire changes each year and the choreographers are chosen through our partnership with Dance4 (the national dance hub for the East Midlands).

Performances and Touring

Alongside touring, The Lincoln Dance Collective members learn to deliver educational workshops, and have delivered workshops in a range of FE, Secondary and Primary school settings within the East Midlands, bringing dance back to the community. Touring experience and performance opportunities for 2014-15 will include Stratford Circus (London), The Carriageworks Theatre (Leeds), LPAC (Lincoln).
