The Dance programme at Lincoln is based upon four strands of modules which develop throughout the course of study. These include:
– Dance techniques (Ballet, Cunningham, Graham-based, Release technique, Somatic practice and Body Centering)
– Choreography
– Applied concepts with a key focus on practice-as-research and the ‘student as producer’ university initiative
– Vocational and skills for employment
All four strands allow you to experience dance and choreography in the widest setting possible, while still developing a distinct voice as an artist.
These strands also reflect the reality of employment within the performing arts, as many graduates will find themselves working a portfolio career in which they will have to draw on many skills to fulfill different duties for different employers.
On this page you will have access to many articles that will compliment and enhance your studies on the BA (Hons) Dance programme.
